Host terms
Version 2026-10-12.2 · These terms are between you (the host) and Medicated TV — TCHH GROUP HOLDINGS PTY LTD (ABN 27 667 416 499) for a show on Mars TV Live. You accept them when you sign your quote — we email you a copy.
Your booking
Your quote (emailed by us) sets the show, date, start time, ticket price, booking fee, our fee, bond, onboarding fee and extras. The online calculator is an estimate only. A booking is confirmed when you accept the quote and the upfront payment reaches us — or, if you pay in parts, when the last part is paid.
Signing electronically
You accept your quote and these terms electronically, by ticking the boxes on your quote page and typing your full name. That is your signature and it binds you the same as signing on paper. Straight away we email the signed agreement — your quote, these terms, what you ticked, your name and the date and time — to you and to us, and you can open it again from your quote page.
Upfront payment
The onboarding fee reserves your date and is not refundable. It is not transferred to another date unless we agree in writing within a reasonable time. The bond is a minimum fee: it is credited back to you in your payout to the extent our fee from ticket sales is equal to or more than the bond; otherwise we keep the part of the bond needed to make up our minimum fee. Extras are paid upfront and are non-refundable once work on them has started.
Paying in parts
If your quote page offers it, you can pay your upfront amount in equal parts instead of all at once, at no extra cost. The parts are charged automatically to the card you choose, on the dates shown before you agree; the last part is due at least 3 days before your show. Your first part holds your date and your show is confirmed when the last part is paid. If a part can’t be charged we email you a link to pay it. If the full upfront amount isn’t paid by the time the last part is due, we may cancel the booking (see Cancellation).
Our fee
Our fee is the percentage of net ticket sales (ticket sales less refunds) in your quote, including GST, and never less than the bond. Booking fees paid by viewers belong to us and cover card and payment costs. You do not pay card fees on ticket sales.
Exclusive and non-exclusive
An exclusive show is streamed only on Mars TV. If you stream it anywhere else (including your own channels) it is a non-exclusive show and the non-exclusive price applies; if you change after booking we may adjust your fee to the non-exclusive price.
Complaints and refunds
Viewer complaints close 1 hour(s) after the show ends and refund requests close 6 hours after the show ends. Viewers must give screenshots and describe the problem. We check each request against our logs and decide case by case, consulting you where practical. You cover every refund we give for your show, whatever the cause, and refunds are deducted from your payout; our fee is not reduced. If refunds are more than your payout, you agree to pay us the difference within 14 days of our invoice. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy a viewer has under the Australian Consumer Law.
Payouts
We pay your share of net ticket sales, plus any bond credit, into the Australian bank account you give us, on the next business day (Sydney) after the refund window closes. We hold 5% of that amount for 30 days to cover late refunds and chargebacks, then pay what remains. Changes to your bank account must be confirmed from your email, and payouts are held for 48 hours after a change. You are responsible for your own tax.
Your rights, licences and insurance
You warrant that you hold every right, licence, permission and release needed for everything in your stream (including music, performers, competitors, venue and sponsors), that the show complies with the law and any sporting or venue body rules, and that you hold appropriate insurance for your event. You indemnify us against claims arising from your content or event.
Your gear and stream
You are responsible for your own equipment, internet connection, power and setup (unless you booked our on-site crew), and for sending a preview stream before the show when we ask. Keep your stream key private.
Running the show
Your show goes on air automatically when your stream arrives from 15 minutes before the start time, and ends automatically when your stream stops for 10 minutes or 2 hours after the booked end. We may pause or stop a show that breaks the law or our rules.
Our logs
We keep logs of when viewers started the stream, failed starts, chat activity, and when your stream arrived and stopped. These logs are the record we rely on for complaints, refunds and disputes.
Things outside our control
We are not liable for failures caused by things outside our reasonable control, including your equipment or internet, venue power, third-party platform or network outages, or events such as storms and emergencies. To the extent the law allows, our total liability for a show is limited to the fees you paid us for it.
Cancellation
If you cancel, the onboarding fee and any extras already started are not refunded; the bond is refunded. If we cancel for reasons within our control, we refund everything you paid us for that show.
Fans and data
Viewer details are shared with you only when a viewer opts in. You must handle any data we share under the Privacy Act 1988 and the Spam Act 2003.
House rules
Shows are 18+. No medical advice, and no promotion or advertising of prescription medicines, medicinal cannabis or vaping products (TGA rules). No hate, harassment, threats or illegal content.
