The short version

  • You must be 18+. Joining is free. Paid plans renew every month until you cancel, and you can cancel any time in Profile → Your plan, account & data → Manage billing.
  • Nothing on Medicated TV is medical advice. We don't sell, supply or advertise medicines.
  • We collect only what we need to run your account and the site. Health details you add (like your Patient Card) are private by default and only collected when you choose to add them.
  • We never sell your information or hand it to brands, clinics or chemists. Marketing emails only go to people who said yes, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
  • Be decent in the Lounge. Don't copy or scrape our stuff. Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always come first.
1. Not medical advice — the rules, in plain English

In one line: Medicinal cannabis is a prescription medicine, and Australian law says it can't be advertised to the public — so nothing here is medical advice, and real product detail is only ever shown to checked patients and health professionals, never to visitors just browsing.

  • Not medical advice. Everything on Medicated TV is general information, education and entertainment. It isn't medical, legal or financial advice. Talk to your doctor or pharmacist about your own health. Never start, stop or change a medicine because of something you read, watch or hear here.
  • We don't sell, supply or advertise medicines. Medicated TV isn't a shop, a clinic or a pharmacy. We don't name, rank or promote medicines to the public, and nothing on Medicated TV is a recommendation.
  • Listings are information, not endorsements. Directory details come from the businesses themselves and from public sources. We check them, but details change, so confirm with the business.
  • News, shows and guests. News stories, podcasts, shows and guests' views are theirs, not ours. Stories about the law are general and can go out of date.

Almost every medicinal cannabis product in Australia is prescription-only. Only two cannabis medicines are on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG) — the government's official "approved medicines" list — everything else a doctor prescribes is unapproved, which just means it hasn't gone through the full approval process, not that it's illegal to prescribe.

Under the Poisons Standard (the national rulebook every state and territory follows for scheduling medicines and poisons), most cannabis medicines are:

  • Schedule 8 — a "controlled drug", the strictest category, for most higher-THC products.
  • Schedule 4 — prescription-only, for very low-THC, high-CBD products.
  • Schedule 3 (pharmacist-only, no prescription) exists on paper for a small number of very low-dose CBD products, but almost nothing like that is actually for sale yet.

Because so few products are on the official ARTG list, doctors reach almost everything else through one of three special-approval pathways — and every one of them needs a doctor to say yes first. A patient can never just buy it themselves:

  • Special Access Scheme, Category A (SAS-A) — for patients who are seriously ill, a faster approval.
  • Special Access Scheme, Category B (SAS-B) — the pathway used most often; the doctor applies for that one specific patient.
  • Authorised Prescriber (AP) — a doctor gets ongoing approval to prescribe one specific product for one specific condition, so they don't have to apply every single time.

Because these are prescription medicines, the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989 and the Therapeutic Goods (Advertising) Code 2021 make it illegal to advertise them to the public — full stop, no matter how tasteful the ad is or whether a price is shown. The Act's advertising-offence provisions (its general advertising-offence and "non-compliance with the Advertising Code" sections) carry real penalties: fines, civil penalties, and prison for the worst breaches. Importantly, "advertising" isn't only the cannabis company's own website — the regulator (the TGA) has taken action against publishers, media companies and PR agencies too, not just the businesses selling the product. That matters a lot for us, because Medicated TV is a media site.

Two more laws matter here. The Privacy Act 1988 treats health information — including proof of a prescription — as extra-sensitive personal information, with stricter handling rules than ordinary personal data. And the Australian Consumer Law means every claim on the site, including a review or a "top pick" badge, has to be true and something we could actually prove, not just something that sounds nice.

This isn't theoretical — the regulator is actively fining people over exactly this:

  • September 2022: three cannabis companies (Little Green Pharma, Cannatrek and MGC Pharmaceuticals) were fined a combined $972,360 over 73 alleged advertising breaches on their websites and social media.
  • June 2024: six more businesses and two individuals were fined $627,252 across 35 notices, for things like promoting cannabis for serious conditions (cancer, PTSD) and implying government endorsement. The TGA noted it had issued 165 notices totalling $2.3 million in the two years before that.
  • 2025: the TGA took the media companies Mamamia and News Life Media, plus the cannabis company Atlus, to the Federal Court over cannabis advertorial content — proof that publishers get pursued too, not just cannabis brands. Penalties can reach $6.6 million for a company. The government also gave the TGA an extra $92.6 million for 2025–2026 to do more of exactly this kind of enforcement.

Where this comes from:

2. How Medicated TV follows these rules

In one line: we check someone is a real patient (or a checked health professional or business) before we ever show them real product details — just being a paying subscriber is not enough on its own.

Every visitor has to confirm they're 18+ first. After that, the home page and news are open to read; most of the rest needs a free account and a subscription.

What the subscription is for. A subscription is first and foremost access to Medicated TV's main services — the show, videos, news, M.A.R.S radio and the patient community. The three finders (the Flower Finder, the Clinic Finder and the Chemist Finder) come with it as a bonus perk: they organise information that is already available to patients on other platforms into one easy, patient-friendly place.

Flower Finder (the detailed listings — THC/CBD %, terpenes, photos) opens for subscribers, but paying alone never shows product details. Real product details only appear once the visitor has shown they're an actual patient, in one of two ways: uploading their eScript or Special Access Scheme approval for our team to check, or entering the eScript token from their prescription in their Patient Profile, where it is checked and recorded securely against their account (we keep only a one-way scrambled fingerprint of it plus its last 4 characters so you can recognise it — never the full code and never a screenshot). A patient can also ask their own clinic or chemist to confirm them: we email the clinic (only at an address we've checked belongs to them) a simple "is this your patient?" question — no medical details are asked for or shared — and the clinic answers yes or no. Health professionals and businesses (brands, clinics, chemists, doctors and organisations) can apply for access without an eScript through Brand Onboarding: we check each one (see Section 4) before switching them on, and can switch access off at any time. Patients and health professionals also need an account and a subscription; approved brands, clinics and chemists get access with their business account. We call this "Patient and Professional access."

Clinic & Chemist Finder and the Accessories Finder are different — they're directories of real businesses (name, suburb, contact details, opening hours), not advertisements for a medicine, so it's fine for them to be normal perks like the rest of the site.

Beyond that:

  • No prices, no health claims, and no "this treats/cures X" wording anywhere near a product listing.
  • No patient testimonials. Star ratings are stored, but written review text stays switched off site-wide until it's been redesigned so it can't carry testimonial-style health claims.
  • No paid promotion, ever. We don't sell placements, rankings, badges or "featured" spots, and we won't under any circumstance — see Section 4.
  • Clinic, chemist and medicine listings are Australia-only.
  • Prescription details are recorded securely and only ever as a one-way scrambled fingerprint, and we never see or store card details — Stripe handles all payments.
  • "Not medical advice" appears wherever the site talks about health.
3. Subscriptions, cancelling & refunds

In one line: joining is free; paid plans renew every month until you cancel, you can cancel any time, and a subscription never on its own unlocks medicine product details.

Medicated TV is a media channel, community and directory. No medicine is sold, supplied or shipped through Medicated TV (the MTV Shop sells accessories only — Section 14). All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST.

  • Free account: free to join. No card needed.
  • Subscriber: A$4.99 a month after a 7-day free trial. Opens Medicated TV's main services — the show, videos, news, M.A.R.S radio, games and the community. The finders come with it as a bonus perk; Flower Finder product details also need the patient check (Section 2).
  • Verified: A$9.99 a month, no trial. Everything in Subscriber, plus the purple tick and the Verified extras listed on the Subscribe page (such as adding your pet, and a one-time 10-minute video call with Irish while bookings are open).
  • Business plans: see Section 4.

Paying and renewing

  • Paid plans renew automatically every month until you cancel. Payments are taken by Stripe on its secure page (card, and Apple Pay or Google Pay where your device has them). We never see or store your full card details.
  • Buying Verified starts its own subscription. If you already pay for Subscriber, cancel it in Manage billing so you don't pay for both.
  • We'll email you at least 30 days before any price rise, and you can cancel before it applies.

Cancelling and refunds

  • Cancel any time in Profile → Your plan, account & data → Manage billing, or email hello@medicatedtv.com. Cancelling is as easy as signing up.
  • Cancel during the free trial and you won't be charged. Otherwise your access continues until the end of the period you've paid for.
  • We don't refund change of mind or part months, but we always refund a charge made by mistake.
  • If something we provide has a major failure, you can cancel and get a refund for the unused part, or compensation. We fix minor problems within a reasonable time.
  • If we close your account when you haven't broken these terms, we refund the unused prepaid part.
  • Deleting your account cancels any running subscription first, so you're never charged for an account that's gone.
4. Business plans — and why fees never buy promotion

In one line: businesses pay for us to check them and keep their details accurate — no fee ever buys a placement, a ranking, a badge, nicer wording, product visibility, a review or a health claim. What rises to the top is decided by patients' own selections.

  • Who can apply. Brands and suppliers, clinics, chemists, health professionals, organisations, and accessories & lifestyle businesses apply through Brand Onboarding.
  • Prices. Each type of business pays the same published price as every other business of that type. Current prices are on the Brand Onboarding page and shown again before you pay (AUD, GST included). Chemists pay per pharmacy location. Monthly plans renew each month until cancelled.
  • We check every business before it's switched on — by hand (for example the AHPRA register, the pharmacy register or an ABN, and sometimes a quick call), or automatically when the business proves it controls its own website's email address with a one-time code. We can switch any business off at any time.
  • Paying. Business plans are paid on Stripe's secure page or by tax invoice. If you've paid and we don't approve you, we refund everything you paid (onboarding plus any monthly charge) within 5 business days of our decision, and cancel your plan.
  • Cancelling. Cancel any time from your Business Dashboard or by emailing hello@medicatedtv.com. Your listing extras stay on until the end of the month you've paid for.
  • What the fee is for. Checking you and keeping your details accurate — for brands, loading the full product list with complete details and certificates of analysis (COAs) and keeping it up to date. It never buys a better position, a badge, nicer wording or product visibility.
  • Listings are facts only, in the same format for everyone. No prices or promotion of prescription medicines, no health claims, no testimonials, and no "best" or "recommended" wording. Accessories & lifestyle businesses list lawful products only — no medicines, plant products, oils or nicotine; no bongs or pipes; nothing marketed for illegal drug use; no health claims; and vaporisers only with their ARTG number where one is required. (The same rules apply in the MTV Shop, Section 14.)
  • Your data stays yours. Businesses promise that what they upload is accurate and that they have the right to use it. They keep ownership of their data and give us a licence to show it on Medicated TV. We may edit, refuse or remove any listing, and correct or remove anything inaccurate or misleading.

No paid promotion — rankings come from patients

We don't sell placements. No business can pay to be shown higher, to be "featured", "sponsored" or "top rated", or to get a badge — not now, and not in the future. This applies to every product, clinic, chemist and accessories business on the site.

Patients' Choice is earned. Every time a signed-in patient saves a product, clinic or chemist to their Patient Summary, that listing's save count goes up. The most-saved listings in each group (for example flowers, oils, clinics, chemists) get the Patients' Choice badge automatically — the top few in each group, and only once they have a meaningful number of saves. "Most saved" sorting works the same way.

MTV Pick. Our team may mark a small number of clinics or pharmacies as an "MTV Pick" to help patients find a trusted place to start. Picks are free, are never paid for or traded for anything, are clearly labelled, and are never given to a medicine or product.

5. Our content — copying is not allowed

In one line: the Flower Finder database, our photos, videos, characters and writing belong to Medicated TV — you can look, you can't take. If we trace any use of our content somewhere else, we will take the relevant action.

The site design, the directories (the Flower Finder database, the Clinic & Chemist Finder and the Accessories Finder, and how they're put together), Canna Patch Kids characters and art, games, videos, M.A.R.S radio, logos and news write-ups belong to TCHH GROUP HOLDINGS PTY LTD (trading as Medicated TV) or are used under licence, and are protected by copyright. © Medicated TV. All rights reserved. Brands' names, logos and data stay theirs.

Your account gives you a personal licence to view it on this site only. You may not copy, scrape, download in bulk, re-publish, sell, share or feed it into another app, website, spreadsheet or AI tool — by hand or with software.

Every copy is marked. What each account sees carries hidden markers that tell us which account it came from, and we watch for unusual activity (like pulling the whole list over and over). If we trace any use of our content or data outside Medicated TV, we will take the relevant action — that can include closing the account without a refund, asking the host of the copy to take it down, and legal action to recover our losses.

Other sites and businesses. Links, news stories, podcasts, payment providers and listed businesses have their own terms. We aren't responsible for their content, products or services, and a listing isn't an endorsement.

Found our content somewhere it shouldn't be? Please tell us through Contact & Support.

6. Your rights, our commitment to the law & changes

In one line: your rights under the Australian Consumer Law always come first; we don't intend to deceive, mislead or promote in any way, shape or form; and we're happy to fix or change any misinformation by reasonable or legal request.

Your consumer rights and our liability

  • Your rights come first. Nothing on this page excludes, restricts or changes any right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or any other law that can't be excluded.
  • Business customers: where the law allows, our liability for a failed consumer guarantee on business listing services is limited to supplying the services again or paying the cost of that.
  • To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss (such as lost profits or data), except where it's caused by our negligence or our breach of these terms.
  • We aim to keep the site running, but it may sometimes be offline for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.

Our commitment to the law

  • No intent to deceive, mislead or promote. Medicated TV does not intend to deceive or mislead anyone, or to promote or advertise any medicine, in any way, shape or form. Information is factual, the same format is used for every listing, and "Not medical advice" appears wherever health is mentioned.
  • Doing our best under the law. We work within the Therapeutic Goods Act 1989, the Therapeutic Goods (Advertising) Code 2021, the Poisons Standard, the Privacy Act 1988, the Spam Act 2003 and the Australian Consumer Law, and we follow the guidance of the TGA, the Office of Drug Control and other Australian regulators as closely as we can.
  • Reviews and photos. Written review text is switched off, star ratings carry no health claims, and product images are only shown to checked patients and professionals.
  • Checked access. Clinic and chemist confirmations only go to email addresses we have verified, every business is checked (Section 4), and any access can be switched off straight away.
  • Fixing mistakes. We're happy to fix or change any misinformation by reasonable or legal request — just tell us through Contact & Support or at hello@medicatedtv.com.
  • Valid legal requests. We may change, correct, restrict or remove any content, listing, account or feature at any time in response to a valid legal request — for example from a regulator, a court, or a rights-holder with a genuine legal claim. Requests must be valid and verifiable.

Changes to these terms

If we make a change that materially affects you, we'll tell you by email or on the site at least 30 days before it applies, and you can cancel before then. Small fixes, like typos or clearer wording, can happen at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top shows when this page last changed, and earlier versions are available on request.

Which law applies

Medicated TV is an Australian service for adults in Australia. These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales and the Commonwealth. Please contact us first and we'll try to fix any problem. Nothing here limits your right to complain to the ACCC, NSW Fair Trading (or your own state's consumer regulator), the OAIC or eSafety.

7. Privacy policy & your data

In one line: we collect only what we need, we never sell it, health details are private by default and only collected when you add them, and you can download or delete your data any time.

Medicated TV is run by TCHH GROUP HOLDINGS PTY LTD (ABN 27 667 416 499) ("we", "us"). We follow the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) for everyone who uses the site.

What we collect

  • Your account: email address, username, password (stored scrambled, never in plain text) and your sign-in details from Google or Facebook if you choose to sign in with them. You confirm you're 18+. If you turn on 2-step login: the set-up key for your authenticator app (stored locked) and your spare codes (stored scrambled).
  • Your profile (only what you choose to add): name, photo, bio, socials, favourites, birthday (day and month only — never the year), star sign, and your pet and its photo.
  • What you do on the site: game scores and leaderboard entries, your Canna Patch Kids collection, Hemp Tent grows, friends, private messages (My Buds DMs), comments and Lounge messages, saved clinics, chemists and products, settings, when you agreed to the Lounge rules, and your email yes/no history.
  • Health information you choose to add (this is "sensitive information" under the Privacy Act): anything you put on your Patient Card, like your doctor, clinic, chemist, appointments, medicines, repeats and amounts. If you use the patient check, we also collect a fingerprint of your eScript token plus its last 4 characters, the document you upload for checking, or your clinic's or chemist's yes/no. We only collect health information when you add it yourself, to run the feature you added it for.
  • Payments: Stripe handles your card. We see your plan and payment status — never your full card number.
  • Businesses: business name, ABN, AHPRA or pharmacy registration, contact name and role, work email and phone, website, logo, product lists and certificates of analysis (COAs), and the files you upload.
  • Competitions: for winners, we sight photo ID and get bank details directly by email (never on the website) — only to check eligibility and pay the prize.
  • Job applications (Section 15): the résumé, cover letter and answers you send with an application, and which jobs you applied for. They go to that employer only when you tick the consent box on that application.
  • Shop orders (Section 14): your name, email, phone and delivery address, what you bought and the tracking details. The seller of each item gets what it needs to ship your order.
  • Live shows (Section 13): tickets and tips you buy, your live-chat messages, and whether you chose to tip anonymously.
  • Messages to us: whatever you send through Contact & Support or to hello@medicatedtv.com.
  • Creator rate cards: if you fill in “Are you a creator?”: the name you post under, your email, your socials and follower counts, your prices and notes — only to talk to you about paid work. They show in the Influencer Finder only if you tick “List me”, and never your email. Every email about it has a one-tap “no more emails” link.
  • Location searches: a postcode or suburb you type into a finder is looked up for you. If you press "Search my location", your browser shares your location with the page only to sort results by distance — it isn't sent to us or saved.
  • Technical details: IP address, device and browser type and log data, used to keep the site secure and stop cheating and spam.

How we collect it

Mostly from you, when you sign up, fill in a form, play, post or pay. From Google or Facebook if you sign in with them. From Stripe (whether a payment went through) and from our email service (if you unsubscribe). From your clinic or chemist, only if you ask us to check with them — and they only send a yes or no. From public sources, like business registers, for business listings and business contact details.

Why we use it

To run your account and the site's features. To check access to subscriber-only and patient-only areas. To keep the community safe and moderate it. To take payments and send receipts. To run competitions and pay prizes. To answer you. To send marketing emails if you've said yes. And to meet our legal obligations, such as tax records. We don't use your health information for marketing, and we don't use it for anything other than the feature you added it for, unless the law requires or allows it.

Who we share it with

We never sell personal information, and we never give your details to brands, clinics or chemists for their marketing. Patient information is never shared with businesses. We share only what's needed with the services that help run Medicated TV:

Your Patient Card

Your Patient Card is private by default. If you switch on a share link, it shows only the parts you've marked Public, and you can turn the link off any time. The card is a personal record — not official ID and not a prescription. You control what's on it and can delete it at any time.

Decisions made automatically

  • Our Lounge, comment and private-message filter gives strikes automatically, and enough strikes mute you or lock chat and comments (see Section 11).
  • A message that 3 people report is hidden automatically until our team checks it.
  • An AI helper checks public chat messages before they show and stops ones that look like bullying, threats, buying or selling medicines, medical or dosing claims, private details or spam. It never gives strikes — a person reviews what it stops.
  • A business whose work email matches its own website can be switched on automatically with a one-time email code.
  • When your own clinic or chemist confirms you, your patient check can switch on straight away.

Ask Contact & Support and a person will review any of these decisions.

How long we keep it

  • Lounge messages: 7 days. My Buds messages: 24 hours. "Plug ya bud" comments on profiles: until the writer, the page owner or our moderators delete them (or the account is deleted). Flagged or reported messages (with the few messages before them): kept for moderation records, even if you delete your account.
  • Patient check: we keep the token fingerprint and its last 4 characters. An uploaded document is deleted once our team has made a decision on it, and unreviewed uploads are deleted after 30 days.
  • Prize winners' photo ID is sighted, not kept on the site, and any copy emailed to us is deleted once the prize is paid.
  • Payment and tax records: 5 years, as tax law requires.
  • Everything else: while your account is open. When you delete your account, your profile, photos, pet, Patient Card, comments, chat messages, private messages, Canna Patch Kids and friends are deleted straight away. We keep only what the law requires (like tax records), moderation records, and a note that the account was deleted.

Keeping it safe, and data breaches

We use access controls, encrypted connections, scrambled (hashed) passwords and limited staff access. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC), as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme requires.

Your data: see it, fix it, delete it

  • See it: Profile → Your plan, account & data → Download my data gives you a copy of what we hold about you, or email us.
  • Fix it: edit your profile, or ask us to correct anything we hold.
  • Delete it: Profile → Your plan, account & data → Delete my account. We cancel any running subscription first. If we can't cancel it automatically, we show you how before anything is deleted.
  • Who sees what: you choose. Your star sign, your Hangout listing and whether you chat anonymously are switches on your Profile. Staff can see who is behind an anonymous name, but only for safety.
  • Stay anonymous: you can read public pages without an account. Accounts need an email address.
  • Photos: only upload photos you own. We strip location data from uploaded photos.
  • Log out: the Log out button is in the menu and on your Profile.
  • We'll reply to privacy requests within 30 days.

Under-18s

Medicated TV is for adults 18+ only. We close accounts we reasonably believe belong to someone under 18, and delete their information.

Our collection notice

TCHH GROUP HOLDINGS PTY LTD (ABN 27 667 416 499), which runs Medicated TV, collects the details in our forms to provide what the form is for — for example making your account, answering your message, checking your business or running a giveaway. If you don't give them, we may not be able to do that. We share them only with the services that run the site (some store data overseas, for example in the United States) and never sell them. This Privacy Policy explains how to see or correct your information and how to complain. Questions: hello@medicatedtv.com.

8. Contact & complaints

In one line: got a question, a complaint, a privacy request or a legal request? Email us — we're happy to fix or change any misinformation by reasonable or legal request.

Tell us what happened and we'll reply within 30 days. If you're not happy with our answer, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (privacy), the ACCC or NSW Fair Trading (consumer rights), or eSafety (online safety).

9. Terms of use — adults only (18+) and your account

In one line: Medicated TV is for adults 18+ in Australia; by making an account or using the site, you agree to the terms on this page.

Who we are

Medicated TV is run by TCHH GROUP HOLDINGS PTY LTD (ABN 27 667 416 499), which is registered for GST — "MEDICATED TV, a TCHH GROUP business" ("Medicated TV", "we", "us"). Medicated TV is an Australian community, media channel and directory for adults. It isn't a shop: we don't sell, supply or ship any medicine. Contact: hello@medicatedtv.com · MEDICATED TV, Parcel Locker 30, Werrington County NSW 2747.

By making an account or using the site, you agree to these terms — that's everything on this page, plus the separate terms of any competition you enter.

Adults only (18+)

Medicated TV is for adults 18+ in Australia. You'll confirm your age when you visit. Accounts, the Lounge, the Hangout, Canna Patch Kids and all games are 18+ only. We close any account we reasonably believe belongs to someone under 18.

Your account

  • Give us true details and keep your password private. One account per person.
  • You're responsible for what happens on your account. Tell us straight away at hello@medicatedtv.com if you think someone else is using it.
  • Usernames must not pretend to be someone else, a business or a brand, or include anything offensive. We may change or remove a username that breaks this rule.

Closing an account

You can delete your account any time (Section 7) — we cancel any subscription first. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms or the law, or puts others at risk. Where we can, we'll tell you why first.

10. Codes, invites & free months

In one line: codes and free months are one per account and have no cash value, and you're only ever charged for a paid plan you chose.

  • Free-month and Easter-egg codes take a month off a subscription on Stripe's secure page. One per account, while the stated limits last. The subscription then renews at the normal price unless you cancel before the free month ends. Codes have no cash value and can't be sold or transferred.
  • Creator codes: personal, one-time codes for invited creators. Redeem yours while signed in (in the "Got a code?" box at the bottom of any page) by 31 December 2026 — one creator code per account. Once our team has checked it, we switch on 3 months (90 days) of Verified, free, with no card needed, and remind you 7 days before it ends. When the 90 days end, it simply ends: you're only charged if you choose to subscribe. We may decline a code that's been shared or used by someone it wasn't given to.
  • Professional access codes are personal to the health professional or business they were issued to, and can't be shared.
  • Invite your buds: your username is your invite code. When the stated number of friends you invite join on a paid plan, you earn a free month. Only genuine new accounts count — we remove fake referrals and self-referrals. Your invite numbers are only shown to you.
  • We never email your friends for you.
11. Community rules — The Gulag Lounge, Hangout & Plug ya bud

In one line: cannabis talk is welcome — be kind, keep it legal, keep it safe. Three strikes and you're out.

The Lounge (room 1 is The Gulag Lounge), the Hangout, profile comments ("Plug ya bud") and My Buds messages are for adults 18+. Before you enter chat you agree to these house rules — or you can just watch from the audience.

  • Be kind. No swearing (including disguised spellings with symbols, spaces or 0s for Os), slurs, threats, bullying, harassment or hate.
  • No selling, sourcing or swapping. Never buy, sell, swap, give away or ask where to get medicine, scripts or any drug — and no "DM me" deals. No health claims about any product.
  • No medical advice. Don't tell anyone what to take or how much — talk to your doctor. The Lounge is patients chatting, and nothing in it is medical advice.
  • No personal info. Links, phone numbers, emails, addresses and social handles are blocked to stop scams, and sharing someone else's private details is a strike.
  • Strikes: the first strike mutes you for 5 minutes and the second for 10 minutes. The third bans you from chat and comments until Contact & Support unlocks you. Ask and a person will review any strike.
  • Moderation. Messages can be removed. Every flagged message is kept on record, with the few messages before it, so moderation decisions can be checked. A message that 3 members report is hidden until our team checks it.
  • "Plug ya bud" comments. Anyone who can see a patient's page can leave a public comment on it (never on your own page). Comments go through the same filter and stay until the writer, the page owner or our moderators delete them. Report anything that isn't right. Chat messages are 50 characters or less.
  • Anonymous mode. You can hide your name in the Lounge. Our team can see who's behind an anonymous name, but only for safety.
  • Your content. You own what you post. You give us a free, non-exclusive licence to show it on Medicated TV while it's up. You promise it's yours to post and isn't unlawful or defamatory. We may remove anything.
  • Complaints (including defamation or privacy): use the report flag or email hello@medicatedtv.com. We aim to act within 2 business days. You can also contact eSafety.
12. Games, Canna Patch Kids, Hemp Tent & the $1,000 giveaway

In one line: games and cards are 18+ entertainment with no cash value; the $1,000 giveaway has its own terms with the true odds.

  • Games and Canna Patch Kids (Trivia, Bubble Pop, Duck Race, Stash Dash, Bud Match and more) are 18+ entertainment. Some games, cards and prizes are for subscribers only. Canna Patch Kids cards, points, badges and leaderboard places are just-for-fun collectables with no cash value — they can't be bought, sold or swapped for money. Odds and limits are shown on the Canna Patch Kids page and may change.
  • Hemp Tent is a just-for-fun grow game. It's always a hemp plant, the grams are a game score, and nothing in it is growing advice or encouragement to grow any plant. Its cards and harvest prizes follow the same rules as other Canna Patch Kids cards, with true odds.
  • The $1,000 EL JEFFE JEFF giveaway (a 1-of-1 Canna Patch Kid) is a trade promotion with its own terms — who can win, the true odds, how the winner is chosen and how the prize is paid. Read the giveaway odds & T&Cs. If those terms and this page differ, the giveaway terms win.
  • Fair play. Cheating, bots, scripts or extra accounts can mean losing scores, cards and prizes, and your account.
13. Live shows, tickets & tips

In one line: some Mars TV Live shows are free, some are for subscribers and some need a ticket; tickets and tips are paid through Stripe; you get your money back if a show you paid for doesn't go ahead — and if something goes wrong on the night, tell us within the time limits below with a screenshot.

  • Who can watch: each show says whether it's free, for subscribers, or pay-per-view. Shows are for adults (18+).
  • Tickets: the price and the booking fee (the same whichever way you pay) are shown before you pay. A ticket is for one Medicated TV account and that one show — please don't share it. Payments are taken by Stripe; we never see your full card details.
  • Subscriber price and "Ticket + Trail Blazer": subscribers pay the subscriber price shown on the show. If you choose "Ticket + Trail Blazer", you pay the ticket (with the subscriber discount) plus your first month of Trail Blazer today; Trail Blazer then renews monthly at the price shown until you cancel (any time, in your Profile).
  • If a show doesn't happen: if a show you bought a ticket for is cancelled or doesn't start, we refund the ticket.
  • If something goes wrong on the night: complaints close 1 hour after the show ends and refund requests close 6 hours after the show ends. Use "Something went wrong with the show?" on the show page, say what happened and add a screenshot. We check every report against our stream logs and decide case by case, and reply by email within 2 business days. We don't refund change of mind. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
  • Tips ("Support the show"): a tip is a voluntary one-off payment to support the show. It isn't a donation to a charity and isn't tax deductible. In return you get a thank-you in the chat and a Supporter badge for a few hours (unless you tip anonymously). We refund a tip made by mistake.
  • Hosts: when an outside host runs a pay-per-view show, the ticket money is shared with them under our host terms. The host is responsible for what they say and show.
  • Our logs: to check problems we keep a record of when your account started a show's stream, any failed starts and chat activity (for signed-out viewers, a daily one-way code instead of your internet address), for 12 months.
  • Recordings: shows streamed from streaming software may be recorded and kept for up to 30 days. Shows streamed straight from a phone on Medicated TV aren't recorded.
  • Chat: the live chat follows the community rules (Section 11). Moderators can hide messages and mute people.
  • Nothing said or shown on a live show is medical advice (Section 1), and live-show pages never advertise medicine products.
14. The MTV Shop (accessories)

In one line: the MTV Shop sells accessories — never medicine — and every product page says who sells and ships it.

  • What's sold: accessories and lifestyle products such as storage, bags, grinders and papers, for lawful use. No medicines, cannabis or prescription products are sold in the shop.
  • Who you're buying from: each product page shows "Sold and shipped by" — either Medicated TV or an approved Australian seller. Approved sellers agree to our seller terms.
  • Prices and paying: prices are in Australian dollars and include GST where it applies. Shipping is shown before you pay. Payment is taken by Stripe; we never see your full card details.
  • Delivery and returns: the product page shows the shipping time and returns information. You get a tracking link by email once your order is sent.
  • Your rights: the Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply. If an item is faulty, not as described or doesn't arrive, contact us (Section 8) and we'll help you get a repair, replacement or refund from whoever sold it.
  • Your details: the seller gets your name, delivery address and contact details only to ship and support your order (Section 7).
15. Job Finder

In one line: Verified patients can browse jobs and apply, and nothing goes to an employer unless you tick the consent box on that application.

  • Why we ask for consent: applying through Medicated TV can tell an employer that you're a medicinal cannabis patient. That's health information, so we only send your application — your name, email, résumé, cover letter and answers — after you agree on that application.
  • Your files: résumés and cover letters are stored privately (never as public web links). Only you, that employer and Medicated TV staff can open them. You can withdraw an application, and you can ask us to delete your files any time (Section 7).
  • Employers' policies: each employer writes its own job details and its own policy on medicinal cannabis at work. We don't check or guarantee any job, pay, employer or policy. "Apply on their site" links take you to the employer's own website, where their terms apply.
  • Employers must: use applicants' details only for that job, and follow Australian privacy, anti-discrimination and workplace laws.
  • The Job Finder isn't medical, legal or employment advice. Talk to your doctor, and check your employer's rules (including drug testing and safety-critical work) before you work while taking your medicine.
16. Cookies & browser storage

In one line: only the small cookies the site needs to work — no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

  • Essential cookies: keeping you signed in, security, the 18+ check, finishing a Google or Facebook sign-in, and — if you arrive through a friend's invite link — remembering their invite code for 30 days so the right person gets credit.
  • Browser storage on your device (local and session storage) remembers small things like your last search, which tab you were on, sound settings, messages you've already seen and whether you've agreed to the Lounge rules this visit. It stays on your device, and you can clear it in your browser settings.
  • No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and no analytics or ad pixels.
  • Other services: videos and M.A.R.S radio play through YouTube (in its privacy-enhanced mode where we can), and YouTube may set its own cookies when you press play. Maps load from OpenStreetMap, some fonts from Google Fonts, and GIFs from GIPHY — your browser connects to them directly.
17. Emails & the Spam Act

In one line: marketing emails only go to people who said yes, and every one has a free, working unsubscribe link.

  • Account and service emails (receipts, password resets, approvals, refunds, prize notices and reminders you asked for) are sent because you use the site. They contain factual information about your account.
  • Marketing emails (news, promos, giveaways, new features and events) only go to people who said yes. The box at sign-up is unticked until you tick it, and you can switch it off any time in Profile → Your plan, account & data. We keep a record of each yes or no, when, and where it came from.
  • Brevo sends our marketing emails for us. If you unsubscribe through a Brevo email, it switches off on Medicated TV too.
  • Business emails: we may email a business at an address it publishes on its own website or in a public directory, about listing that business on Medicated TV. We don't email an address published with a note saying it doesn't want marketing messages, and we keep a record of where each business address came from.
  • Every marketing email says it's from MEDICATED TV, a TCHH GROUP business (ABN 27 667 416 499), has our contact details (hello@medicatedtv.com · MEDICATED TV, Parcel Locker 30, Werrington County NSW 2747) and has a free, working unsubscribe link. We act on unsubscribes within 5 business days — usually straight away.
  • We never send SMS marketing, and we never email your friends for you.
  • Don't want emails from us? Click unsubscribe, switch off marketing in your Profile, or email hello@medicatedtv.com with "unsubscribe".
