Seller terms
The MTV Shop is for approved Accessories Finder businesses. Here’s exactly how it works — in plain English.
1. Two prices: RRP and wholesale
For every product you tell us two prices: the RRP (the normal retail price) and your wholesale price (what you want to be paid for one). Wholesale has to be less than the RRP.
We sell it on medicatedtv.com, usually a little under the RRP (by default 10% under), and never above it.
2. You get your wholesale price + shipping
When a customer pays, Stripe sends you your wholesale price × the quantity, plus 100% of the shipping the customer paid, straight to your bank through your own Stripe account. Medicated TV keeps the difference between our price and your wholesale price, and pays the card fees out of it.
Example: RRP $50, wholesale $35, $10 shipping. If it sells at $50, the customer pays $60, you get $45, and Medicated TV keeps $15 minus Stripe’s fees.
3. The 5% rule
Every product has to leave Medicated TV at least 5% of the sale price after card and payout fees. If yours can’t, the dashboard tells you the lowest RRP or the highest wholesale price that works, and the product waits until it’s fixed.
4. Getting paid
You connect payouts once with Stripe (Stripe checks your ID and bank details — we never see them). Money from each sale lands in your Stripe balance straight away and is paid to your bank on Stripe’s normal payout schedule (usually a few business days in Australia).
5. Orders and shipping
Each order emails you the item, the customer’s name, address and phone, and a private link to add the tracking number — the customer is emailed the moment you do. Please ship within 5 days; we send a reminder if it isn’t marked as sent.
6. Returns, refunds and support
You handle returns, refunds and product support under your own returns policy (shown on each product) and Australian Consumer Law. If an order is refunded, your share and ours are reversed in proportion through Stripe.
7. What can be listed
Accessories and lifestyle gear only. No medicines or plant products, no nicotine products, no bongs or pipes, and no health claims (TGA). Vaporisers need their ARTG number. We can pause any product or seller that breaks these rules.
8. Prices and GST
All prices are in Australian dollars and include GST. You’re responsible for your own GST and tax on what you’re paid.
