He (Irish) woke up and had some gummies, and set off toward the letterbox with a simple, clear goal that lasted almost the entire walk there. On the way back he got stuck having a surprisingly deep conversation with a very calm goldfish about whether cereal counts as soup. No conclusion was reached. A vote was proposed, then abandoned when neither side could agree on voting rules. Irish arrived home twenty minutes later than expected, mildly victorious, still no closer to a verdict on the soup question, and very pleased with how the day was going.
