He (Irish) woke up and had some gummies, and — against everyone's advice — decided to give the vacuum cleaner a second chance after "last time." Things were going fine until a very patient hardware store staff member pointed out, quite reasonably, that the vacuum cleaner had never actually done anything wrong in the first place. Irish considered this for a long moment, apologised sincerely to the vacuum cleaner, and the two were, by his account, "on good terms again."
