He (Irish) woke up and had some gummies, and by mid-morning he was fully convinced the yoga mat had personally betrayed him. It started innocently enough — he just wanted to use the thing — but ten minutes later he was narrating its "movements" like a nature documentary: "…and here we see the yoga mat, in its natural habitat, refusing to cooperate." Negotiations began. A blanket fort was built as neutral territory. a delivery driver who really didn't sign up for this wandered past, took one look at the fort, and decided to join the talks instead of asking a single question about any of it. Twenty giggly minutes later the yoga mat mysteriously "surrendered," Irish declared total victory, and everyone agreed never to speak of the blanket fort again.
